SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS The most
common signs/symptoms of epidural (peridural) fibrosis is :
RISK FACTORS Individuals
who have a propensity to make more than the usual amount of scar tissue when
injured are also more likely to develop excessive fibrous tissue (scar) after
spinal, as the result of a surgical procedure. Individuals who have a blood
clotting disorder may also be more prone to develop excessive scar tissue in
the epidural space of the spinal canal due to bleeding after an injury or an
invasive procedure. COMPLICATIONS The primary
complications of epidural fibrosis include pain and limited tissue mobility. A
large collection of scar tissue could displace and/or compress an adjacent
spinal nerve roots and/or smaller nerves within the spinal canal.
