The neuropsychologist is a psychologist who has completed specialized training in the diagnosis and care of cognitive and behavioral disorders.  The neuropsychologist must complete demanding education and training requirements which typically includes least four years of undergraduate school and four to six years of additional collegiate training including internship and residency requirements.  Many neuropsychologists pursue and achieve doctoral (Ph.D.) status.

The neuropsychologist represents an important part of the spinecare team for some patients.
