INTRODUCING THE INTERNATIONAL SPINE ASSOCIATION

The International Spine Association (ISA) recently launched its website, designed to educate professionals and the public about the spine, spine disorders, available spinecare, as well as, information about spinecare products.  The ISA offers one of the largest multimedia databases of need to know information for patients, professionals, and the public.  Professionals as well as the public are invited to become members.  General public membership is free and provides users with access to text-based information 24/7.  Paid Premium membership with the ISA entitles the member with access to helpful multimedia resources and to cost savings through the ISA Buying Advantage Program, accessible on the International Directory of Spinecare Products.

All healthcare providers are encouraged to refer their patients with spine conditions to the ISA to access current information and to stay informed about available care for chronic spine conditions.  The International Spine Association offers "information prescription" forms, which can be used by healthcare providers to direct their patients to personal "need-to-know" information on the ISA Public Information Center (PIC).  Patients and the public are encouraged to bring the downloadable "information prescription" forms to the attention of their healthcare providers so they provide the best direction to educational resources. The ISA offers user-friendly search functions that can be used to locate information about the spine, spine signs and symptoms, spine disorders, available spinecare, spinecare products, and other spine-related topics.  The informational database of the ISA was designed to take into consideration the expertise and roles of spinecare professionals of various disciplines.
