Muscle Fatigue

The term muscle fatique refers to a progressive loss of muscle performance associated with physical exertion. Muscle fatique may develop secondary to a variety of causes including a loss of nerve supply to the muscle or the result of deconditioning of the muscle. Reduced blood supply to muscle associated with peripheral arterial disease is often associated with exertional muscle fatique and/or weakness.
