Spine Disorders
The use of the term disorder in spinecare refers a condition which disturbs the regular or normal functions of the spine and/or disturbs structural relationships in the spine. The spine is both intricate and complex. It is comprised of many different tissues and is exposed to countless insults and stressors. This has resulted in the discovery and classification of many different spine disorders. To help prevent confusion the ISA has developed a multimedia database of information about common and uncommon spine disorders.
The International Spinecare Directory offers a Subdirectory of Spine Disorders which provides the user with an effective resource for locating and learning more about traumatic and no-traumatic spine conditions. The subdirectory provides tools to help the user locate and/or build a library of spinecare information relevant to a particular spine disorder. The International Spinecare Directory also offers a Subdirectory of Spinecare Specialists and Facilities which can be used to locate care for a particular spine disorder.
The ISA provides spinecare specialists with access to Information Prescription Forms which can be used to direct their patients and/or family members to relevant spinecare information and information on the International Spinecare Directory. The general public and patients can access the forms directly on the ISA website to be taken to their spinecare provider to be completed.
The International Spinecare Directory and all of its subdirectories are managed by the International Spine Association (ISA). The primary mission of the ISA is to improve spine health and spinecare through education.
