Arachnoiditis

  • Post-inflammatory adhesions
  • Post-inflammatory clumping of nerve roots



INTRODUCTION

Arachnoiditis refers to inflammation of the arachnoid membranes which surround the spinal cord and the spinal nerve roots. It is often associated with the formation of adhesion (scar tissue). This most often occurs in the low back (lumbar spine).
